Permanent Broadcast displays the otherwise invisible to the human eye: probe requests emitted by handheld digital devices in search of trusted WiFi networks. Along with an unique ID these names are privacy relevant information constantly leaked by the device.
This installation collects data from all nearby WiFi-enabled devices and displays these in realtime, while distorting Edward Snowden’s quotes on the technical aspects of the privacy intrusions.
